What did you do in the garden today?

Ducks are funny. I never realized how much personality they could have until we had them when I was a teenager. That is when I fell in love with chickens too. I have chickens again now, but no ducks. I'm afraid we'd lose them to the neighbor's pond. Not sure he'd appreciate it...

Or to a neighbor's swimming pool. A pair of ducks moved in to my friends nearby even though place over run with feral cats. Maybe because it was fenced?

Feel really down today, so I m going to go into the office and take the Runners in with me. The Veterans really seem to enjoy their company. After this past week need to see somebody happi.

Sorry you're having a down day. When I'm feeling a bit low, a good round of Christian music sets me back on firm footing. Also, simply getting outside and enjoying the things I see around me.

Ducks. I love the quizzical look on their faces, and the way they always seem to be muttering secrets to each other. hate the mess they make.

I listen to hymns as well when I get down. But I love sitting here and watching the Runners with the Service men and women and all the veterans. I can never tell whom enjoys it more.

I actually planted three perennials, and three 4-packs of cauliflower and cabbage! Then it started sprinkling, and then it rained!:wee
Not much, but hopefully enough to wet things down. I bought more perennials at a yard sale so i got good prices. Hollyhocks, digitalis, 2 types of irises, and a few others. More planting to do:rolleyes:

No rain here yet but it usually doesn’t start till Halloween night.
Planted the thornless berry slips today. Sprayed for white fly. Emptied the trap of another egg eating ground squirrel. Watching the deer come through to bed down back by the chickens for the night. Cut another couple comfrey plants for the chickens.

What an awesome and peaceful sight that must be!

Do you have trouble with deer getting into your ga
