Ya, a LOT of broadcast ones are like that. TV news needs ratings = money= hyped up crap in all segments. TBH - we aren't a fan of them either. Where are you, generally?

I am from Blanchard. I was at home for the 1999 event. My dad was at work in Norman. We couldn't get a hold of my mom. My grandma drove us along the border of the storm as it passed through that big field in Norman.

I wish the ones where I live tried. Instead, they're nothing but a bunch of sensationalists hoping for another f5.

I was on academic scholarship for OU to be a commercial meteorologist. I wound up in the trades here in California. Now I install meteorological equipment and program it for big PV solar plants.

We got our first freeze. I'm away, camping in the mountains. But I'm ready to put up my hoops when I get home tomorrow.
