Thanks. That's my Jack. I hatched him last spring, traded "her" to Dow Girl for a SLW chick. A week or so later, she told me that she was most likely a he, and I made my first ever breach of biosecurity by taking him back. But it was a minimal risk, since her chicks were brooded in the house and had not yet mingled with her healthy flock. I made a deal with him: If he was nice, he got to stay! So, I ended up with an extra roo, and an extra SLW. Both, nice birds! He's going to make some real nice babies next month.

We havent done much in the garden here as it is still a bit cool here, but we did check on the stuff in our greenhouse.

I'm there with you. My onions, peppers, eggplants and tomatoes are all under the lights. Tomatoes just went in this past weekend and are already starting to sprout.

Today: I planted 7 varieties of tomatoes, 2 of pepper, Sweet Spanish onion, plus pansy, lavender, basil, and wormwood.

Cleaned gunk out of one of the ponds. Yuck! Great for the compost though.

Added wood ash to my compost and turned it. Man I need a new shovel, 'cause this one is getting gross.
