What did you do in the garden today?

Although not in the garden I did get some fencing started for the perimeter of our acre. We did grow an onion and 14 yellow squash plants on accident though! The squash sprouted out of a compost pile that I'd thought was fully cooked and has been set out back of the property to "season" and the onion grew in our onion bin in the house. The darn onion is over a foot tall already!

Lettuce is sprouting and peas are growing. Yippee!!!

i always get some crazy looks out in the yard with my pj bottoms on rolled up to my knees with no shirt pulling weeds and yelling at deaf dogs.

I thought I pulled all my spinach throughout the winter but I found about 5 nice looking little spinach plants so far !

Added wood ash to my compost and turned it. Man I need a new shovel, 'cause this one is getting gross.

Unbreakable fiskars shovel. Life time warranty. Wider spade solid handle. Maybe 45$ cant remember for sure. I broke mine once, long story . They sent me a new one, didn't even want the old one just a picture for proof. So its Welded and now I have too

I have an earth mover, a track shovel ( for cleaning out machine tracks but the best darn garden shovel you'll ever find ) and a bunch of tree planting shovels... And a really cool tool called a Macleod.... Now I want a fiskars... I break everything

I need a macloud those things are epic for breaking earth. And I seriously dig a lot. I really should just have a backhoe. In the process of moving dirt from 16 full 4x4x2 planter boxes.

I sure could use a back hoe, or mini excavator, or one of those back hoe style tractors... I love to dig but it would be nice to use a machine.... The things I could do!

lol while weeding i just found a random leftover half grown carrot from last year. I keep this up and I am going to find an entire salad

I raked up a bunch of sticks.

In cleaning the sunchokes' bed, several tubers came up. I replanted some, and took the rest inside - that'll be dinner. Yum!
