What did you do in the garden today?

Weeded the garden, planted some chard, kale, and lettuce transplants, and stepped up toms and peppers into five gallon pots for the greenhouse.
My garden is full....but I have all these seeds to plant!
It happens every year.

The voles or moles or little field mice ate my dahlia bulbs, so I will have to try and get more seed and start over. I love them too.
You get a lot out of a dahlia.

I love my snakes.

Want to take ours?

Haven't stumbled onto any rattlesnakes or cottonmouths yet this spring, but one definite downside to Florida is the sheer amount of venomous creatures living in the backyard and pasture. Ants, wasps, snakes, scorpions... the list goes on and on.
I just want to garden and hang out with my livestock without being bitten or stung.

Now that we have our seeds started I'm checking on them constantly. Waiting for the first to germinate is the hardest!

We need to get our bulbs in the ground too, but first we have to clean up our flower beds around the house. The last owner (we bought this place three months ago), let everything go wild so we haven't been able to keep up with quite everything yet between clearing spaces for buildings, the garden, and fencing. There may or may not be several 3 and 4 foot tall weeds in our front drive.

It's poopy with rain today so i am not doing much outside today.

I got the seed savers exchange seed catalogue today, I get tons of different catalogues every year but I have never requested one from them i expected it to be neat , I wasn't disappointed

No I had a hard time stopping adding things to my order from them... Lots of great stuff...
Neat thing happened, I left my cart open for a few days (on seed savers exchange) and they sent me an email with a 10% discount... Should have waited longer may have gotten a better discount lol

Rainy today but the lettuce, spinach, and peas are up finally. The peach tree is in full bloom so hopefully we dont get anymore freezes and the apple trees are just beginning to open buds.
