What did you do in the garden today?

Linda, so sorry to hear about the loss of Aimee.  Glad you're happy where you are.  You can do a lot to satisfy the gardening urge with containers.  Check out hay bale or straw bale gardening, also.  Any option for even a mini coop/tractor with a couple of hens, or even a few bantams?

Thanks Sweetie, appreciate it. Yes I will be happy up here. We have a big deck that has tons of space in the sun. I'm really interested in medicinal herbs.

I'm sorry not doing all that much I'm my garden now...hunkering down for winter. Chris is still canning carrots...we got a bunch this year.I bet 50 lbs....it took 2 , of us to carry the full tote into the house. And that was just carrots she topped them as she picked them. One thing I did different this year was I grew my potatoes in straw. Just dug trenches dropped seed potatoes in and filled them with straw and a little soil mixed in. We got a good 200 lbs of potatoes this year. And didn't have to dig much to harvest them. They just grew right on the straw.

I had my best year picking mushrooms this year....them little black morels are so tasty.....a friend of mine took me and showed me some real good spots...I have her some fresh fish.
