What did you do in the garden today?

We harvested our FIRST green bell pepper of the year! It smells SOOO good! We have a bunch of Jalapenos right on the edge of harvest; probably by the weekend. Our Cherokee Purples are starting to turn yellow. I won't have to be playing the waiting game much longer. Vines are loaded with small Romas.

This is what I love about my garden.

Got some rain last night Won't have to water for a while now.

I know we would!

I understand the rain, rain and more rain we have the same going on here. But with the drought our country has had I am not going to complain either.

Enjoy your rabbit. I have some also. But some of mine are for food but we still use the by product as fertilizer in our garden.

But they are toxic. I hope you don't plan to pout vegetables in the tires.
The tire rubber will slowly biodegrade and release zinc, carcinogenic PAHs (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) and other toxic compounds into your soil.
Toxics from tires are an even greater concern in some recycled products, such as rubber mulch and artificial turf, that are made from shredded or pelletized old tires.
