So I was digging through my worm bin today and not only did I see lots of juvies I found this little guy, I guess the babies are maturing early? That would explain all the egg cocoons that are about half the size of the regulars.

Next to a "full grown" worm.

Also, Yesterday I picked all the ripest feeling/looking luffa to hang in the barn and dry as the vines died in the frost and freezes last week and I've read and have been told by several people that they'll rot if left on the vine. I picked 153 gourds I picked 40 unripe ones for the hogs leaving 113 goodish looking gourds to dry and there's still probably at least a hundred unripe ones still on the vines. I only planted 5 vines.

Lol, that's what everyone keeps telling me, they get like 35 from 3 and I just got over a hundred and that was just the mostly ripe ones, there's probably another 100 unripe ones still on the vines. I have noticed a trend though, I haven't watered mine since April and we're in a drought so it's pretty dry, most of the other people I've talked to have been watering theirs all year so maybe they like it dry. Bet I don't get as good a crop next year

Wow thanks Dan. I actually have one. My dh brought it home from the mill to make a automatic watering system for our rabbits. I am waiting for the next one to get empty.
They get vitamins in them for the fish feed at the mill. So they are food grade. That's a great idea Dan, thanks!

I thought the frost killed my tomatoes but I was looking at them the other day and some have new buds coming out!!

So I peeled the driest luffa today, it came out pretty well I think.

And here are the seeds from the one luffa.

I took this picture while rinsing them becuase it shows just how many there are best.

Here they are all set out to dry.

And here are some cuttings I took off my tomatoes a little over a month ago.

Weighed the seeds, 2 oz. According to Sow True that's somewhere in the area of about 280 seeds.
