What did you do in the garden today?

Tee hee, my husband gets frustrated because I don't ask for help. My right side has had issues for years too, but my insurance deductible is $6000 so I can't do anything about it for now.
oh ya but that is why I say between God and Tramadol I will make it but will had lidocaine to that now they have it in ice hot and aspercream

I didn't get anything accomplished because I hurt myself moving those pavers :barnie
Can't hardly move my right arm. Getting old sucks
Sorry you hurt yourself! I am still suffering , my side hurts but i am not sure if it is from falling off the porch or the car crash. Either way, with the pills i took for that and the pills to combat itchiness i am going to be good for nothing today. 20170713_094703.jpg

@CapricornFarm :hugs Sometimes you just gotta take a personal day. Rest up, heal, recharge. Life's too short and too hard anyway to push yourself that much. I say it's not worth it most times. If you don't take care of yourself, how you gonna take care of anyone else?
Yeah, i told my husband i am going to be useless today. Yet i already drove to Chatham and set up the guineas. He is busy hanging pictures inside the house. He does not want to be out in the heat either. At some point i will have to water plants, i already did the rabbits and fed them. Our surveyors just showed up, they have been showing up at irregular times and i about figured they forgot us. The guy that did the driveway is the same way, he has another job going and shows up when he feels like it. I don't know how they ever finish a job at that rate.

One of my Pekin ducks got in to an old tub I have some plants in, volunteer tomato and squash, and did about the cleanest weeding job I've ever seen, any weed she could get her bill around is gone, the whole tub had a carpet of tiny weeds before and now there's just fresh dirt. She did it all without our disturbing the plants at all.

Was able to make five quarts of pickled beets yesterday and still have one more picking left..weeded the rows too.

Today I pulled weeds from the chicken pens, mostly wild potato and a flowering daisy plant nicknamed "cut and come again". It comes up everywhere and I pull every one I find...even those that migrate to the garden.
Left a few wild sunflowers for shade in the pens. Rotating the sprinkler in the garden...100 - 110 degree heat index here.
Picked a few bell peppers, tomatoes and squash.
Husband applied pasture spray on the cerrisa...our cows don't eat it. The spray also gets the ragweed and wild thistle.
