What did you do in the garden today?

Watering, cleaned up the coop a bit. Stopped to watch the bees go flower to flower in the weeds. Going for compost to prep for the crepe myrtles and get some groceries.
Plants should be delivered today.

Question about greenhouse placement...obviously it needs to be in the sun, but would a little afternoon shade hurt? I expect it'll get darn hot in there because there's no window or any way to vent the thing :he
Should I cut a window? Make a vent in the top? Both? Neither?

Thanks guys!
Yes vent it. Ours came with a manual one but I changed it to a gas driven piston. Operates the vent automatically with out electricity or batteries. $40 plus shipping. Also I painted half of the roofing. It still gets too hot. I think I'll do shade cloth on the half I didn't paint.

I need to plant the things my friend sent me, but it is so darned steamy out i don't want to go back there. Feel like i been rode hard and put away wet like a horse.
Just came in from feeding the critters and painting the back and two sides of the exterior of the coop. I would like to put another coat on the interior but i don't know if i should just go ahead and put the flooring down instead. Tried to get up this morning and fell right back to sleep. Slept until 11:00! Of course i am on antibiotics and fighting two sinus infections so that makes you tired. I even fell asleep early last night.
Husband built a temporary ramp up into the garage shed. Why not just do a good job to start with? Idk.
It looks so lovely out, when are we going to get nice fall weather?

we are sitting in the driest we broke all records for dry first winter and spring wouldn't stop wettest on records from 46 now we are in this dry as a bone thing but hey remember pres said no climate change :lau
I just went outside and pointed my fan at the sky in your direction! tell me if it works!:lau

Thank you much. It's nothing expensive. I figure by the time the cover rots I can recover with shade cloth for the summer. It will get very limited use for warmth here.

Just got the boards up on the front and back of the roof. What a difference that makes! Two left to go, i am painting them before they go up. 35% chance of rain this evening. Wish i knew for sure. Two sides of the coop got another coat on the outside. I cleaned the supplies out of the inside and plan to sweep the floor after my break. Then the vinyl can go down. Once that is accomplished, i can start on the divider inside the coop. Hard to keep going when it is so miserable and indoors feels SO much better!
