found a wasp nest here so took a 5 minute ride to our Hardware store then the post office next block very small town here love it...... hoping planting from yesterday hope it is fruitfull

Ya'll here complaining about the heat... Well I have a cold problem! It's been so cold that my tomatoes won't ripen! Wish I had your problems....!

Pulled a couple of too close carrots today. They're VERY orange and bright and happy looking. The basil had to be topped as it was blooming again. Brought in another bundle of beans and a zucchini. Also a few more tomatoes, of the few that are getting ripe.

And now I have been stung by a wasp on my ankle.

Sorry, i know it hurts. When i was a kid i got stung by a bunch of yellow jackets. We were too close to their nest.

We trimmed the herb garden and started drying 2-5 gallon buckets of oregano, thyme, wormwood, mints, basil, sages and lavender. I unwrapped all the apple grafts I started in April. All but one look great. I thinned the apple trees and the twin fawns that have been hanging around came in for a treat. I picked a few and tossed them on the ground to their delight. We had a nice cool front come through this afternoon and it dropped 18 degrees with much lower humidity.

I heard we will be getting some cool air from Canada! I am thrilled! We have deer all over the place as well as rabbits, but they all run if they see you. DH found more bear tracks down by the river. I am trying to identify some of the plants around here. I will try to get some pictures.

I would wear bug repellent every trip outside if i were you. Of course, i wear my Cedarcide already because i hate being itchy and having bugs crawl on me.

Darn builders are back clogging up the yard! Nothing done again!
Love the deer. BBQ comming on! - The grape vine in the greenhouse is near broken with all the fruit so I am thinking there is going to be wine on the go soon. Waste of good fruit for anything else! lol
I am hoping to get out later and clear away more of the beds. I think I am winning again? The other day My two baby ducklings were out wondering about the garden and then the two chicks decided to get out over the gate too. Hubby thought it was funny cause I managed to grab them and put them both to sleep on the lawn. He took a pic.

They are beutiful hope they are hens! I think I will out to play in the hen house... enough paperwork for one day... Down to the garden I hear it calling! lol I am not happy unless I have mud on my hands! (ummmm or is that ....chicken poo???)
