What did you do in the garden today?

I swap eggs for spent grain from the brewery. Chickens love it. Only one to two dozen eggs for 10 five gallon buckets worth of compacted grain.
Good idea on the farmers market. Sometimes I don't get enough from my vines. Also I collect the pumpkins from Halloween that people haven't cut open. Once got one so big it took two of us to load it into truck.
boooyah!

Ha! That'll feed a flock! We only got a few pie pumpkins this year from a volunteer vine. I get a few freebies every year from the grocery store in town when they are ready to dump them after Halloween.

I think the lazy part of your name is a misnomer
our farm name is lazy H farm.. it is like a prank title because no one wants to help henny penny with the burden of creating the bread from start to finish.. until they smell the bread resting,,.....:)

I heard that pumpkin can be a natural wormer..

I picked almost a quart bag of green beans today. A lot for me this Summer, but not much compared to some of you! I am "sharing" the vines with the deer who munches on them every night. My poor tomatoe plants are so covered with aphids, it's quite sad. ☹️
I'd rather take on all the deer on the block than mess with aphids. Hate the critters. All the natural sprays only work so long then bingo they are back. Corn have them again. Don't have much luck with ladybugs either.

Here's the hen that set 11 eggs during the worst part of heat wave.
This is the second batch this year for her
