What did you do in the garden today?

Maybe south east. Arizona or Nevada.

Ugh. I could never live in the desert. We lived in Oklahoma years ago, and the heat there was just horrendous. Growing up in MN, we were not able to adapt to it very well. Also, I like having four distinct seasons. The winters are pretty cold here, but I don't mind them too much. I just wish they only lasted a month or two. 3-4 months of winter is a bit much!

Change of plans Wednesday when the guy at the repair shop gave me bad news about my car. I didn't get anything outside accomplished. So irritated! Now I have to waste time car shopping today and I'm really not happy. I'm not a woman that likes to shop! Been driving my sons car for a couple weeks now and I want my own car so it has to get done.

Going out at first light to sweep the patio and swap the shade screens for the panels on the coop before we leave.

@Pensmaster AZ is close enough to CA that you can visit. Definitely requires an adjustment period for the summer though. Hubs had heat exhaustion our first year here. And people walk around with guns on their hips, makes me feel like I'm in the wild west

Normal people have guns on their hips. It's the ones that hide them that scare me.
Our car is getting older now and I know it's a matter of time before we have to do something about it but it's got to make it awhile more.
I think there are mountains in both Arizona and Nevada that wouldn't be so hot.

The cold of the winter here is getting to the wife. It's not really that bad so I'm not sure what we will do. I also don't like the heat and we've had plenty of that lately

Hubby bought a Rav 4 this week. We pick it up tomorrow. Carrying is a good thing. If more folks carried, it would make the hooligans think twice about accosting their next innocent victim.

Fortunately we can carry concealed here without a permit, which I would prefer over open carry. Better not to advertise some things.

It depends on where you live in AZ. We have to take trips to the "mountains" here. I lived so long in CA with MOUNTAINS that these are just hills around here.

Which is why i prefer old cars. These new ones are plastic imitations!

Agreed. We had concealed permits, but our state recently changed laws to not require permits.

I am trying to decide what i should try to preserve in the garden for winter and how to do it. Sigh. I am SO tired. And i need to plant those bushes i bought for 75% off. And laundry needs doing. I need helpers!
