What did you do in the garden today?

we both secretly buy stashes of seeds - lol)

Now, this is a bad thing. When both husband and wife are enabling each other's addiction. That makes you both: addicted, enablers, and co-dependent. The only good thing that can come from such a scenario is that you can both wallow in your addiction and thoroughly enjoy it! Perhaps it's not such a bad thing after all.

Hi folks! Been a while. I have done nothing in my garden since my last post, not even any more planning. We have a whopping high of 5*F today. Joy. No gardening in that. The garden looks beautiful, though, with it's perfect mounds of untouched snow draped over them like blankets!
I finally got my seeds sent out to Deepbluesea.
I also plan on spending around 50 this year on seeds. My dad got me another lamp for seed starting in my basement for the holiday. :D I am pleased!

Today was nice. We are finally getting back to our normal temps. :)

I cleaned out one of my asparagus beds. Cut the dead stalks down and raked out all the winter "greens" that have sprouted. Gave them to the chickens. The other bed, I really don't know what to do with it. Darn bermuda grass has literally taken it over. I think I may just start over with that bed. :barnie

I am giving up my water bed garden this year. To many bugs to deal with.
We are going to build a green house with 2x4's and pvc hoop's with a door on each end.
We will build a large raised bed in in on one side and I will add some fruit trees in it as we don't want to plant them.

what a good idea I do not regret changing our garden plan planting in the tires James was all in also and stayed interested he did more in them than I did

Thanks Penny. I have seen some people plant in tires. I have a bunch of strawberries planted in a kiddie pool and blueberries in a 1/2 barrel.
I will be looking for some more barrels for my fruit trees this spring.
I am going to our local nursery to pick up a Satsuma and a Methley Plum.
I will also need some for our Pomegranate and Elderberries.

We choose the tires as we can get them free out here tire companies have to pay to have old tires removed
