I cut out plywood for a cold frame and painted it. Also cut and painted support boards. Just the frame for the top and a small piece of plywood to cut, then assembly!

I REALLY want another couple of grow lights. I swear the power company probably thinks I'm growing pot. 
I potted up my Black Krim tomatoes--they look so healthy. This week I'll do the rest of the tomatoes (atomic grape, amish paste roma, and Lauren's littles, a cherry type). Then the peppers. I've got bok choi, broccoli and broccolini in a flat in my red-neck cold frame (straw bales and a shower door. I am SO sophisticated.

Gotta love them shower doors!!! Hubby moved one of mine, and ended up pulling the aluminum trim off one edge, so it needs to be fixed. Still waiting.................
I so want to start tomato seeds . Waiting till the weekend . Cold windy rain . yuck
We're up to 80 tomato cotyledons in my homemade water bottle pots. I also saw some sweet peppers about to emerge. I planted snap peas, and carrots in the garden. Beets and broccoli will be next. I'm also going to start window boxes full of salad greens hopefully this week. That'll have to do for the month, since we can't plant warm season veggies until April.
I just started my tomato seeds. 90 pots of them, exactly 3 seeds in each pot to make sure I have enough.
The goal is 60 transplantable plants. If these are extras I'm thinking of selling them or trying to trade them on craigslist.
I have three whole oregano sprouts this year though! XD It's not much... But it's an improvement over my zero in previous years! Thanks @deepbluesea for the seeds!
The rest of this week is going to be spent finishing the shelves, lights and planting up the peppers.
The leeks, basil, thyme and parsley are all doing great. My experimental chives and onions seems to have failed... But I was expecting that. The seeds for both were pretty old, but I thought I'd give them a shot.

I waded through 15" of snow in the garden to the raspberry canes. Spent about an hour trimming canes, pulling out the old growth, trimming back the tips on new growth. A lot of cane borer damage. So, I trimmed each tip back until I reached healthy pith without any sign of damage. Hopefully, this will prevent such heavy infestation in the future. I was chilled to the bone when I came in this evening! My boots had filled up with grainy snow.
I was facing a dilemma. My grow lights and frame are in my unheated basement. We're still using wood, and don't want to turn on oil heat or pellet stove to heat the basement, so I was without any practical option for starting my seedlings. Tonight, hubby helped me to dismantle the grow light shelving and bring 1/2 of it up to our office (which is also a sewing room, and holds all of my canning supplies. How do you spell "overcrowded"??? Any how, that was a huge sacrifice for him to make to bring that stuff upstairs! Such an act of love will not go un-rewarded!
