I think it might be squirrels or rabbits.

Bought some dill, basil, zucchini, yellow bell pepper and a few marigolds. Cut some holes in a couple bags of soil and planted. Once the enclosed garden area is done I can place tge dirt and cut off the rest of the bag...I hope. No tomatoes yet, need to look somewhere else to see what I can find. Really hoping for sweet 100 cherry and beefsteak tomatoes.

Something keeps digging up the peas I planted in the garden. I put plastic over them, but there was signs of digging just under the edges this morning. Lol! Last year half of my pea seedlings got eaten.

We have birds here that dig up peas, beans and corn, and they're a protected species

*shrugs* If I had to pick between making people cover up their seeds/seedlings or a species going extinct, I know which I'd pick. You can always chase them off or string up some bird netting.

We had rain yesterday afternoon through early this morning. Not heavy so it had a chance to soak in I swept the patio and cleaned up the coop. Dumped a bucket of water that had some squigglies in it before they could turn into skeeters. I have to do something about a few bushes that the chickens have demolished. Surprisingly they're still alive.

we just came back from getting 10 1.5 cubic bags of potting soil doing away with all the planter type pot's so we can put a wading pool that I tried to use as a brooder but the cats had access and killed the chicks in it that is when we built fort Knox from 3 shipping crates walk in type crates so now I will use it for vine plants..
also picked up broccoli, cauliflower and carrots in 6 pack give us a leg up on a few things
