Yeah, sorry. Fedco has an early close date for ordering trees/plants/tubers and such. They do have a tree sale in early May, but that does not benefit anyone not within driving distance. And by then, most everything is pretty picked over. I went last year for the first time and was totally awed by what I saw: a huge warehouse with mountains of wet sawdust, trees and shrubs heeled in by varitety. Folks running around like it was a Christmas sale at Macy's, pushing shopping carts full of bare root plants, or simply running around with 2 or 3 bare root trees clutched in their fists, while they looked for more. I bought some low bush cranberries, lingonberries, Cornelian cherries, and Wine Cap mushroom spawn. Then we went to the seed warehouse and I bought some "better get it cause I just might need it" seeds. I do believe that the crusty old codger who waited on me was the founder of the company. I saw his retirement pic in the '18 catalog. So, I was glad for the chance to meet him.
I agree with you @Rachel Taylor , buy local, support local when ever doing so fits into your needs.
