What did you do in the garden today?

Sounds like your hubby is related to mine.
Do they all do that? Mine delights in weed eating my daffodils when they are done blooming .i tried to explain that the green parts need to grow to nourish the bulb. It TN i had some he always ran the mower over down near the plum tree!:barnie

I have been out digging near the fence in my new garden area. Turning clay into good soil a shovelful at a time. Manure in the wheel barrow, sand in my wagon. Dig, mix, repeat. Takes a long time but i am hoping for good results. I planted red morning glories i started inside, and i have 2 grape vines to put in. I may plant my strawberries there when they arrive. It gets lots of sun there.

According to Accuweather, tonight is our last frost. I really don't believe it, but am happy to take the risk. Will be hardening off some of my seedlings, planting some flower seeds inside. I have loosened soil along part of the back of garden. Sugar snaps along fence with various greens and a few flowers in front. Some of the more tender seeds will go under milk jugs.

Have fertilized the garlic which is making a nice show. Need to fertilize the raspberries, fruit trees, and finish cutting back raspberry canes. (Should have been done last fall.)

I'm not quite sure. I do know that opposites attract. One day, I was out enjoying an early spring day with hubby. I watched him lean down, and pluck a crocus blossom out of the lawn. I thought, "How sweet! He's picking a flower." But he dropped the blossom in the grass then carefully rooted around the base of the plant to pluck all of the crocus leaves from among the grass blades. Seriously???????!!!!!! Sometimes, I just smack my head. Are they even the same species????
