What did you do in the garden today?

I think we’re getting our last night in the 30s ( hopefully). Down to 35 tonight. Still holding on pumpkin and gourd seeds and holding on transplanting maters and peppers. Winter needs to end. Think they are calling for 70’s and sunshine after tonight. Hope weather mans right.... but we al know how that goes

My peas are finally flowering! It's about a month later than last year. This year is odd. My beans have sprouted and my zukes and cukes are just starting--I probably should have held off planting those until this weekend. Some of the sunflowers are sprouting, but I planted a lot more than I'm seeing. Hope the wild birds didn't do a dine and dash.

I see a few more sprouts for my sunflowers every day. But I only got one of 16 cucumbers that sprouted. I thought I was safe but then we got to get freezes after that. I planted my squash and zucchini eight days ago usually terminated by now but I don’t know if it’s because we had a frost this morning and a few mornings ago or it’s just germinating more slowly. Summer seems to be on the delay all around.

I weeded and fixed a few problem areas in both raised beds. My snap peas are flowering as are some of my tomato plants. I can't seem to get broccoli to grow in my bed. The seedlings keep disappearing, so something is really eating on it. I interplanted the shrimpy seedlings that were left with bell pepper seedlings and bush bean seed. If I don't get broccoli, at least I'll have those.
