What did you do in the garden today?

Every time I’ve experienced a borer I see a lot of damage to the stem but I’ve never experienced them and sunflowers. I will have to take a look at that article I guess either way is it best to just re-plant? It would be a little late but if I did it now I would have time I have one row of Mammoth and four rows of one called Moonwalker. It may be coincidence but I haven’t noticed this problem with the row of mammoth Just the Moonwalker. But it could because there’s more

Well dang it doesn’t seem to be any of those. It seems like most of those you will see most of the damage near the bottom and the only place I have found it is at the top and the rest of the plant looks good to me. I’m going to look more into it I guess because I saw some links on that webpage But I think either way I’m going to need to replant but at least I’ll know what I’m trying to protect against when I do. What were you talking about a dark green squiggle? I guess I didn’t notice it and I’m looking back at the picture but it’s on a small phone so it’s harder to see details. And thank you for any information

On the stem, right where the droopy leaves begin, there are two squiggles that look like some sort of insect made trail in the stem tissue. I may be wrong but it might be worth looking into.

I’ve got an avocado! I potted it up today. It’s about 6-8 weeks old.

Definitely since either way I will have to replant I will do some inspections. Everything I was reading shows that they will be evidence closer to the roots in a lot of yellowing. And it seems like the plant was a nice green and the top ones just wilted with no yellowing at all. Weird but that’s why I want to inspect it. Sorry Bree so many questions but are certain types more susceptible to diseases and insects than others?

Lg when I put my avocado outside the squirrels ate the leaves and ate into the stem.
I had to wrap it and bring it back inside.
Mine is back outside with a geranium sitting in front of it. But the ate the top off of it again.
I'm hoping it will come back out for the 4th time. Lol
