What did you do in the garden today?

So here is a handy idea . I use 3 gallon sprayers a lot . The hand pump type . Age convinced to get creative . I bought tire valves the type with a threaded nut . Drilled a 7/8 hole and installed the valve . So now I just air it up to spray . I watch the stream of spray while airing as you could blow it up I think . Anyway once I have a strong spray that is enough . I use about half then give it more air . Got tired of all that pumping from half empty on .

You get my post of the day award! Put it somewhere where you won't loose it!

LG I try to use a shovel full of rabbit manure in every batch of soil I mix up.
I have been using it for several years and yes the plants love it. I don't know what I will
do next year when I don't have any more. lol I have cows and will have a few hens again so I guess I can use one of those but they have to be aged first. lol

4F15AA78-4429-466F-9F1E-09C6DBC399F3.jpeg Didn’t get too much except a little bit of weeding done in the garden but did some things for the garden. I’ve been slowly getting the scrap pallets from work that they’re getting rid of so I can build my three bin Compost manure area. I like those pallets because they are marked environmentally friendly and chemical free so I don’t need to cover them with anything 4F15AA78-4429-466F-9F1E-09C6DBC399F3.jpeg and they are extremely thick and the only thing they were ever used for is to hold stacks of metal signs and they hold up a while. Much more to add but at least got something started

Does anyone know what’s going on with my sunflowers? For the past three days every day I come out I find one more sunflower with the top doing this. I can’t figure out what’s going on with them and it’s a complete bummer because they were doing so good almost 2 foot tall and looking beautiful. I haven’t seen any kind of bugs other than a couple ants which I’ve taken care of on them and this doesn’t looks like something an insect has caused. Anybody running this before ? Maybe some sort of disease?

In the first pic of the sunflowers, there is a dark squiggle on the stem that starts at the good leaf axil and goes up to the droopy leaves, if you cut this open can you see if there is some type of borer in there? Otherwise, I might say a wilt fungus but I think all the others might have shown it too. Not much help, I know. Sorry! Try looking at this article.
