What did you do in the garden today?

Well for the past few weeks it’s been in the 90s and even when it’s not raining the humidity is between 90 and 100% so last week was a little miserable and I got a window unit and we have the crappy us windows known to man and they were actually blowing at the weight of the window unit. It was kind of sad. We have a portable AC unit but with our open floor plan about half of the room will stay at 80° or so.We were going to have the service guy come over and let us know how much the replacement would be because it needs to be completely replaced but then my poor dog got sick. And I’ve wouldn’t be able to enjoy my AC knowing that it came before her. At least this week it drop down to the low 80s so I can handle that

Yup, animals come first here too. Glad it's cooling off a bit for you though. Hang in there :hugs

I love the Sunset mix sunflowers, especially the dark red-orange ones. I don't remember what the yellow ones are, will have to check the package.

The puppy muzzle was black from playing in the mud, and the feet, and the belly :gig Thankfully my husband caught him before he could make a mess, little punk snuck through the doggy door before I could catch him.:old. . ..
Have a great day everyone :frow

Got everything in the veggie garden watered and weeded.

The replant of the beans seems to have worked. They are sprouting!

I changed the water in the bee waterer. I change it every morning to keep skeeters from liking it. The bees sure do use it when its hot out.
I used a plastic tray that would go under a large pot, river rock and a large piece of sandstone in the middle. It helped when I raised it too.
I put it on an upside down pot from a tree I bought.
My neighbor keeps bees and I am glad for the pollinators.

Going to be hot soon. Highs in the mid to upper 90's all week here.

Now to figure out what's wrong with the apple tree. There are several branches with drying and curling leaves just on the small out branches.
:(

Look for ants and aphid damage. If the branch tips are turning black/brown and wilting down, you may have fire blight.

That's what I am afraid of.

Three or four years ago it had fire blight and I removed a large portion of the tree. I was surprised it made it. Now it is sick again.
:(

I may just remove the whole tree this time since it is wide spread.
