What did you do in the garden today?

Cool! I've always done mine, and the newpaper ones with a botoom. I will try without this year to sve even more time! Thanks !
It makes the whole recycling, reuse thing even more appealing. I try to start my own seedings, but still the soil and seed cups can add up $$ with the larger gardens. I'm still saving my larger cardboard boxes for covering the grass between the garden beds then covering that with pine bark or some other inexpensive mulch. Last summer mowing between the garden beds was really hard.

You don't have to remove the seedlings from the tubes. The card board biodegrades and becomes mulch for your plants. It's really good for the garden. I used the cardboard in my garden last year and see the results. I didn't have time to do a lot of planning last year but I still have canned tomato sauce, pickles, and frozen squash on hand. I'm almost out of green beans though. I'm planning on putting in more containers for growing carrots and potatoes. And my chickens enjoyed all the chard and radish greens I shared with them. So keep that card board in the garden.

You must be wonderful at keeping them alive. I've got one on the kitchen table and we'll see how far I get her.

Plants in the house are usually walking the green mile.
I’ve had my ups and downs. Tried for 4-5 years before Jan of 2016 when I finally got lucky and had two live a full year. So I brought back 4 that year and managed to kill all but one from the previous year   I know what my mistake was though so this year when no one else seemed interested in them I figured lots in numbers can’t hurt. Honestly they aren’t as tricky as people say.

I got 14 of these beauties from church today! :yesss: :celebrate :woot

Very nice pointsettias. I have one that is around 10 years old. I have propagated 5 "babies" from it. It's really easy. Just snip off a branch and put it in water until roots appear. Then plant in dirt. They prefer to be watered from the bottom, however I have been able to water from the top without much trouble. Good luck with your beauties.
