What did you do in the garden today?

Major flooding here. We are high and dry, but those by the creeks and rivers and low land are in trouble.
Apparently there I another weather "bomb" storm system headed your way. From what I saw on the news it shows it hitting the northwestern states with snow and high winds then sweeping through the Midwest with high winds and possible tornados. Take care and hold on to your hat. This has been a crazy winter. I hope Spring & Summer are much more tame.

Besides it being my job, my joints are letting me know loud and clear that the pressure is dropping. Standing knee deep in ice water (waders on) isn't helping either.

That's not true, unfortunately. Many people in the US claim it's not happening. :T I have literally had people ask me where that "global warming" was during the polar vortex with 100% sincerity. And just cause someone doesn't understand the research that goes into proving it's man made doesn't make it not man-made.
But I agree, we should stop asking if people believe if climate change is real and start asking them if they understand it. Because that's like asking someone if they believe in farms - it really doesn't matter if you believe in farms or not. They're real, they're important, and understanding and managing them is still something the govt should do for the sake of it's citizens.

So I spent a couple of days sweeping the garage and digging out my gardening stuff.
I worked 5 wheelbarrows of dirt for my flower beds.
The seeds I planted Saturday are up. Cosmos...fell in love with them last year. My husband got a pack of seeds in his cereal box so for giggles I planted them. Very hardy & pretty and the chickens left them alone.
Today was awful 45mph winds. Cold 22* one of the grommets on my tarp ripped so that was Tons Of Fun to tie down. Everyone is staying in for the day...hot chocolate and a hot shower maybe even a nap sounds about right.
