What did you do in the garden today?

My seedlings are outside again today and this will mark the 2nd day this week along with a few days last week. If it wasn't for a bad rain storm predicted for Friday into Saturday, I'd have these seedlings in the ground. Garden has been tilled and the 2 tiers of landscape timbers laid out and secured. Fencing all around it is about 70% complete. Need to finish some work around the back side of the garden wall and then I'll be able to secure the garden fencing. Can't wait to see things growing outside again. Lawn is doing well but its been kinda slow here this year also. Should have been cut 1-2 times by now.

It's 55F and damp. Feels very cold. I will be lighting a fire in my fireplace this evening. I'm rather enjoying my day off. I just got home from a lovely music concert. I'll be back to work tomorrow finishing off the baby chick pen with some final touches. Then heading to the garden to do some planting. It's supposed to be 70F tomorrow.

I'm in no hurry to mow my yard yet. Too much other stuff to do. The grass is greening up but not really growing yet, thank goodness. Happy planting.

So I just got home from buying dirt and plants and found a strange rooster in my chicken house. Who does that?

Someone trying to unload a roo. The worst part, or possibility, is the
Bio-security issue. Now that it is there, any thing bad,,,,,,, is already done.
Looks like a nice bird:). Not sure of breed, but somehow I get the vibes of a Swedish Flower:idunno
I would of course keep it,,,,,, from the birds perspective of a rescue.
In reality, I would not be able to keep it, since roosters are not allowed in my area.
