What did you do in the garden today?

The weather cleared up as I headed out on my shopping trip. I forgot to pick up bone meal, but did get 100 lbs of Black Kow. The best part is that is was dry so it didn't have any extra water weight. I finished putting the last raised bed in the main garden area together. I finished my "Wee Farm" sign and hung it on the potting shed. Now I'm thinking I need to paint the potting shed. Tomorrow I hope to get an early start and get the new garden beds filled. I originally was going to do one that was 8' x 2' but I went ahead and made it 3' x 8'. That will be for this year's pole beans and cucumbers. I should sleep good tonight, I'm exhausted. I hope my sign gives my neighbors a chuckle!

Another 8 hours on the garden fence. Let me just say 18 foot deck boards are heavy. And I'm doing this on my own, so it required braces and custom cuts. OH, and they were burning about 500 acres today. Gag, blark, hack. I am SOOOO sunburned. Our airmass was wonderfully dry and warm today with a light wind. So another ant under a magnifying glass day. Repeated applications did nothing.

Anyway. The front post is straight. I think it's an artifact of the camera. Old fence is gone. Just the top decorative rails, attaching fence to top and bottom rails, weed barrier, and new layer of mulch to go. But the rains come soon, so next week on that part. 22 hours in so far...about another 10 to go.

THe chickens spent the day roaming the green acres. I have a broody on day 18 on eggs, but I'm not sure any are good. Sigh. I'll water candle them tomorrow (marans eggs).

The alpacas spent the day playing in the sprinklers, and then dust bathing. You can imagine how that turned out. UGH!.

Need to water the plants in the greenhouse tomorrow.
