I'll have to show you some of the spiders we have on our property ... sometimes they're so big my boyfriend is afraid that they might possess hulk-like strength and stepping on them won't be enough to kill them but if he tries to shoot them he says they might be packing and shoot backGood grief get a bigger gun fast then least I would
there's one currently living in the top of our cistern and we see this monster every time we open the lid to check the water level... I swear it would feed my chickens for 3 days... we had this one wolf spider the size of my hand that was trying to eat a frog and I said NOPE!
Worse we have daddy long legs mouths not big enough to bite or garter snakes scared of chickens and people wolf spider are rare here
Just seen this one when locking up my coop for the night.but if he tries to shoot them he says they might be packing and shoot back
Good morning gardeners. A whole day without the groundhog drama. The garden is doing fine. We're actually having a bit of a dry spell for a change. I may do a light dusting of fertilizer on Monday afternoon since there is rain forecasted for Monday evening. My Meyer lemon tree is getting ready to bloom again. I'll let it bloom then pinch off any fruit. I want to put it outside for the summer but I haven't determined the best spot for it. Any suggestions would be welcome. Have a great day everyone.
Been raining here, good for the plants but means I don't get much done. Ripped out the cucumber Lowes had labeled as zucchini, they were pickling cucumbers, need to hunt my seed bank in the freezer for seed. Packing daughter up for a trip to Grammy in CA, can get more done this week.
That's me! Have old greenhouse wire shelving I put on top of my beans after I found her not only sleeping on the dirt, but had dug up a seed.
The latest round of chicks is due to wander down the path to the garden this summer, the older birds have the garden routine down, but who knows what havoc the new ones will cause.

G'morning gardeners 
I was out to water the compost pile this morning and word has gotten out that it's safe right now...there were about a million lizards that went scampering everywhere. When the chicks figure out the compost pile is a place of interest I'm sure there'll be vacancy at the inn.
I tossed some fruit and veg in the turner along with coffee grounds...the second barrel is already starting to smell good. I think the grapes are dead though. They've always struggled in the spot I put them so I'm taking them out tomorrow morning.
Today I have errands to run since hubs is home, but tomorrow will be yard work early before the heat arrives.

We call those giant spiders "kitties". We have dropped giant books on them to squish them, and when removed, the spider shakes it off and scuttles away. Not a fan. The wolf spiders and the big fuzzy jumpers are my least faves. I'm really not a fan at night, when you shine your torch and see those giant creepy eyeballs shine back at you. AHHHHHHH!
Nothing going on in the garden today but watching it grow. I do need to flip around 10 or so irrigation heads. I installed them backwards. WHO designed a one way flow valve and didn't mention that on the package?! Good grief.
Going to fertilize monday. Noticing some pale leaves. Too much rain me thinks.
Also cleaning up the greenhouse today and planting some daylily bulbs from my splits. Thinking about getting in some mustard seeds too. Hmmmmm.
Mock orange is so full and fragrant it's almost nauseating.

Happy Saturday still wet as get out here from down pours really cool thunder with it some got hail think that missed us but not doing allot outside but my coops
