What did you do in the garden today?

Good afternoon gardeners. I'm finding more sprouts in the garden including broccoli and more carrots. Here are a few snaps from today

our sneaky nighttime fox is skulking around again. If she comes back around tonight, I'll put the traps out again. She is a serious nusance.
Hi all. Took today off work, just been chilling all day, plus have the next four days off, as well.

Regarding critters, on Friday night when I got home from work it was already dark, so went to check on the chickens to make sure their automatic door had shut (and that they were all INSIDE). So, the chickens were inside and door was shut, but our dog, Brutus, was barking like crazy right next to the coop. Turns out there was an opossum in a spot that Brutus couldn't get at. Then the opossum tried to run behind a tree but Brutus grabbed it and flung it. When it landed on the ground of course it started playing possum. Well, Hubs grabbed a large ice chopper and killed it. We have lost a pet cat and a chicken to opossums (years ago), so there is no love lost between us and them, and we show no mercy on them. So glad the automatic door was working or we would probably have lost some chickens!

Good morning gardeners. Thank you for sharing your garden shots @igorsMistress. It's nice to see new green life again. The weather is holding about the same here frosty nights and cool sunny days. The wind was still a bit much yesterday so I used the vacuum attachment on my leaf blower and sucked up a bag of leaves for the chicken run. They were a little freaked out when I dumped it, but they are scratching happily through them now. I'll try to get more leaves cleaned up today but I still haven't adjusted to the time change yet and I'm tired from not sleeping well. As far as squash: my spoiled flock prefers them fully cooked. We should be having a hard freeze at the end of this week @Sueby, so the dahlia bulbs should be ready to dig up by then. I'll be planting the daffodils at the same time. Have a great day everyone.
