What did you do in the garden today?

Well, my DH retires today!!! He got to drive into work on his last day with a big moon setting over the ocean. Absolutely stunning. They are having an awards ceremony and big BBQ w/ 80++ people. My kids will be sponsoring me on base for the lunch and I plan to quickly dig out to let my DH have his day. For 35 years he has worked hard for our government. He is very loved and respected, has helped many people with their careers and more. Quite the accomplishment- we are all proud, he is a rock. With that I had better start chopping the salad for the masses.
May pass on the garden today but don't think my coop can skip another day. Stay well all! Happy aloha Friday!!!!

Yesterday was a lovely 47 degrees and sunny with light wind.
Today it's 23, the wind is howling and visibility due to snow is only half a mile.

I spent the morning in the workshop putting up some more shelves.

I came in for lunch and ground some wheat for flour and got bread on the rise and in the oven. As soon as it comes out, I'll head back out to the workshop and work on an alpaca chute.

It is so cold and dark, all I want to do is eat and sleep. It's ridiculous really.

I worked some more on cleaning out the hall closets. I hauled a big black trash bag to Goodwill yesterday and have another one almost full. I have a pile of card making supplies to give to a friend and several things to give to my daughter ( some for her and some for 2 other of her friend's!).
We had a real downpour most of the day. I know there is flash flooding all over. Tomorrow is supposed to be more rain and then turn into snow around 4PM. I heard that we are only supposed to be getting a dusting of snow. :fl
I should put painting the bathroom on my list of things to do. It's a relatively quick way to brighten up the room.
