I actually prefer deer to beef. Lots of work that hunting thing though. We are lucky enough to have a few kids that hunt. Two probably more than they should... IMO. DH and I are looking into getting permits just the same. Would be nice to have a freezer full of clean meat (kids don't share much lol). I've had deer, elk, rabbit, duck, quail... wild pig, buffalo, snails... all kind of sea creatures... possibly dog lol. (you ever go to a Filipino wedding?!!) I liked them all except I did find some duck better than others.

Awesome!! We have had about 2+" here. I'm loving the shady coolness and complete yard soak. Don't know why but our horses love the rain too and have torn up the pasture making it look like a polo field with their frolicking.
