What did you do in the garden today?

Good morning gardeners. @Wee Farmer Sarah. @Acre4Me my peppers didn't germinate well even as the temps warmed up and what did germinate isn't doing well. I had to get a few things at walmart today including a bag of dirt so I bought a plant. Temps will be in the 90s so I don't think what I transplanted will make it. I got the pool planted with grass seed and covered to keep chickens and birds out, then covered the groundcover with some bird netting so the chickens don't tear it up. I gave the shrubs some fertilizer today. I was reading about fertilizer and the article said fish fertilizer doesn't usually have as much sodium as some other commercial options. Our soil is salty so I'm giving that a try. I also mulched the shrubs with hay, that's all I have on hand and it works well. I'm off to do some laundry and house straightening, have a great day!

Had to make a quick TSC run this AM now it is 11:15AM and covered in sweat 85F with bad humidity and might see triple digits today after running the 50' of 24 " chicken wire I had ordered for curbside yesterday. No outdoor activities are planned for the day. We have a Siamese kitten who wandered on to the property and my wife adopted her. $400 lighter in the wallet and she is now fully vetted and fixed and happily harasses chicken who will run. Broodzilla should have her eggs all hatched today-21st. She already has attacked every dog we own here on the porch, my old and harmless to chicks cat and the little Siamese has avoided being caught so far but she will mess up and get it too! The wire has been all run to ensure the kitten doesnt meet the 12 day old Sumatra I have in the back pen as they were being too adventurous, and at $6 per head mail order I prefer to do my own culling.

Cleaning coops making pork chops bone in tonight... see what my garden is doing
took the eggs from the silkie so see what happen there
What might you be up to ?
I planted grass for the chickens and put in a jalapeno plant, now I'm doing laundry, changing our sheets, inside stuff today. Dinner is sandwiches and salad, both ready.

Morning/afternoon all,

Not much happening here today stormy wet nasty day, I’m happy for the rain for the veggies.. I’m going to work on my incubator build later after the storm passes all the way. Mean time I’m still sitting here in my little spot watching out the window. Playing on my tablet. Hope everyone is having a great day so far. Sounds like a few a pretty busy.

@penny1960 what time is supper? Sounds great.

@Wee Farmer Sarah would a heat lamp work? If you have a spare one.
