What did you do in the garden today?

Nice harvest of artichokes today. I cut back a few leaves and I'm going to plant Gladiolus tomorrow.

Today I hovered over my garden and prayed for my carrots, turnips and beets to come up. Then I resorted to threatening my potatoes and onions.

It must have worked. I found onions breaking the ground.:celebrate

Guess I need to threaten the potatoes more....

Tomorrow I plant the tomatoes and squash....and threaten them AFTER I pray for them.

Bathed the spa prisoner again. She's eating and drinking. We're giving her lettuce and scrambled eggs. Ugh the THINGS that came off of her. She got a nice blow dry and we'll see. I have extra spray when I was done hosing off the cage area and doused the roosts in the coop again. I also took off all the winter panels and buried the whole thing in DE.

Somewhere I lost my giant summer waterer for the hens. I'll buy another tomorrow.

Other than that, orders poured in all day, so I sewed and sewed and sewed. Now I am caught up and sold out. I need to package it all and will ship tomorrow. Then I'll restock the shop again.
Rinse and repeat.

Need to water the seeds.

How do you repot and divide a peace lily?

I had one that I got when my friend divided hers but not sure how. I imagine like anything else, where the foliage and roots meet.

Cantelope need trellising?

Mine came from Mexico from a fruit I got from the cross border guy sometime in January. Naturally, knowing that the seeds were definitively non GMO and likely heritage we chose to plant them. As you can see there are tendrils that appear to want to twine on some popping up today. I thought they grew on the ground like a pumpkin or watermelon. Must take a strong trellis to support 2 pound fruit if they do.
