What did you do in the garden today?

Understandable. We always seem to have at least 2 to 3 roos on deck. So if something unfortunate happens to the commander-in-chief, the other boys have a good idea of how to take the reigns. I'm one of those who swears by having a rooster. I hope the best for you!

How do your roo's cohabitate with each other? How much space do they have? How many girls?
I for the first time have 2 roo's. One very calm and wonderful and then there is Gus.... he takes his job extremely seriously. Like sounding the alarm at 3am, 4am, 5am... herding the gals constantly, singing to them constantly, mating them constantly and fighting with the nice roo. He is currently on lock down. I hate to rehome him... but, what a pest. It has been so lovely with Bruce being in charge.
Oh, looking forward to seeing the chickies when you can.

To be honest, I can't be certain! Both of our roos (2) and (1) male guinea fowl get on hot/cold during different times of year. (And Hubby will put pineapple (guinea fowl) in lockdown like Gus.) I think too...they've always grown up with a lot of space so that keeps tensions at bay.

I usually have several roosters. When I have too many or they start fighting over the girls causing damage to the girls, I toss the extra roosters or cockerels into what I call the "bachelor pad. It is a smaller coop with an area of ground as well. They usually get along in there fine since they don't have access to any hens. If I keep the number of roosters to 2 per coop I usually don't have much trouble. Especially in the bigger coop. They tend to each gather their "own girls" from the flock.
Currently, I have 2 roosters in the smaller coop and they have gotten along alright ( until yesterday!). Yesterday morning I heard a ruckus and when I went to let the birds out the 2 roosters were going at it. Even drawing blood and knocking the hanging feeder off! They eventually stopped and the lesser rooster spent the rest of the day in the coop ( by his own choice). Today they were back to being fine.
I really need to remove 1 of those roosters because there aren't enough ladies in the coop to "go around". I am waiting for the eggs in the incubator to hatch. I am hoping to see signs of heredity from the lesser rooster ( Easter Egger, beard & muffs) before I butcher him. I also have 1 in the bachelor pad that will be moving to Freezer camp soon as well.

Ran a lot of errands today but didn't really have to get near anyone.
When I got home I polyurethaned the decorated bee hive and gave the other hive a 2nd coat of paint. Then I started working on removing a cattle panel from a fence. It has chain link over it and a very large wild grape vine entwined within it. I did manage to get the chain link free and rolled up. The cattle panel is almost free but I need stronger cutters to get through the thicker part of the vine.
I need to move the fence so that it isn't so close to 2 of the apple trees. The grape vines keep jumping to the apple trees and start climbing all over the trees.
I also saw a few asparagus spears up!!
Once again I did not get the potatoes planted. I am going to try growing them in a 5 gallon bucket. I have been wondering though, have any of you tried growing potatoes in an empty feed bag??
I still need to get back to digging out more sod too.
@BReeder! I think we are going to steal your idea of using the metal roof panels for the sides of a raised bed. I think I will have my hubby make 1 and then I will spend a year filling it with compost and dirt so that hopefully it will be ready to use next year! He is also going to make me a PVC hoop garden that I saw somewhere.
Our weather was awesome on Tuesday but we are supposed to get rain the next few days.

Rain here tomorrow as well. Hopefully we'll get the various tubs filled with rain water again. Project for next year will be rain collecting cisterns. That and a drip water setup for the raised beds. ...and win the lottery

I have seen Frankenstein anytime in television, but i did not seen original movie, only any another, there no was Igor. Now i know, thanks )

In russian names sometimes use this name, but we have two: Egor and Igor.
Egor are in one song for young children

I know this too. I go to the city once a week to get what we need. Its usually meat and fish. Our lakes are closed for an undetermined amount of time so no fishing; and we're leaving everything else alone until a time warrants. Ironically, I can never get enough of our wyld turkey and deer feeling such freedom...or any other species...

When i was in car shool (for get a driver license) we always have seen one dog like that, it layed on the road and did`t let any cars. When any driver throwed him any food, dog taked the food and "opened" the road. It was a little-visited road to a standstill, there mainly drove students of driving schools. The instructors knew and fed this dog, and it lived there on the old road.

And my lifestyle is not related to coronavirus, once I just quit my job and started living in the village, and I go to the city no more than once every six months. It happens that even two years pass, but I don’t go anywhere. At grocery stores, I rarely buy anything other than sweets. When quarantine was announced, I just stopped going to the store. Now tea sweets have to be baked on my own.

I continue my work, I brought sand into the trash, rammed it and threw in some old concrete there, after which I laid out the reinforcement. Now i can pour concrete.

These are fragments and scraps of concrete paving slabs, since I am not going to build a heavy high-rise building, I think to add them little by little to the concrete when pouring in order to save concrete.
