What did you do in the garden today?

We still have to soak and get @TropicalBabies loofahs planted. I'm thinking that is going to be a tomorrow thing and the young chicks are going to be relocated outdoors during daylight hours so I can get in there and clean out their bedding materials. Sumatras have black legs and yellow feet these chicks have been kept without sun for way too long and have yellow legs still. DW just started the 24 hour loofah seed presoak before planting so they will be potted tomorrow without exception. Plus the chicks are going crazy for fresh hay so thinking green grass might be a hit.

DW is also planning on trying russets tomorrow as we have some healthy growth here with our ignored potatoes in the house.

Well took a small nightlight style light use in Broody coop only electrical was house style I could find now headed to harware for a light and electrical cord of better quality
It is funny you mention that. The only electrical cord I haven't cut through with my hedge trimmers is "old Sparky". It is probably because I am afraid of the extension cord.

Ended up at the hardware store get better cord and light

Enjoyed the fresh air in the garden after a morning rain...with aromas of sweet peas and foxglove in the air. Weeded a leek bed. Picked some greens for my chickies morning meal.

Just the tasty cheeses are considered vegan:gigMy DW is vegan 99% of the time unless I bring home the good stuff from shopping. Seriously bring home some Camembert and a baguette.... yeah its on!

I do miss living on the border with France.
Omg France! I love France!!! Best roads, best cheese, best beef... oh and the bread and the wine!!! I hope I survive this pandemic so I can go back.

Morning gardeners. My back is not a happy camper today so not much happening around here, can't wait to go for spinal injections next week. Got a good soaking rain yesterday & everything looks happy in the garden.

I saved some beef fat that rendered when I roasted the bones, everything I read said to save it because it's good as gold. But I have no idea what to do with it, LOL. It's a guarantee I won't be baking any pies! The broth looks super nice, trying to figure out what to do with it now while it cools, probably just freeze it in quart jars. :idunno It seemed like a lot of time on the stove for a little bit of broth, doesn't seem worth it to me with as much as I go through, but I haven't tasted it yet! Maybe that will change my mind.

Have a great day all!
You can freeze it in ice cube trays and use it to cook vegetables or rice or ???
