Doesn't sound like they need any additional stuffing.

I know people personally who have had it - and people I know who died from it. One of my closest friends has it in their household right now and I'm very worried for the lot of them.
I'm doing thanksgiving in - just my three person household. Nobody else. Too many at-risk people that I love, including immune compromised family. One sister is dropping off a corn pie no-contact and that's it. I'm perfectly capable of cooking a mini thanksgiving on my own. We isolate now so that when we gather again nobody is missing.
Reports are saying people who get sick around thanksgiving will be in the morgue just in time for Christmas. We're not mucking about with any of it.
wowJust finished butchering the first of 2 meat chickens that are going to be for Thanksgiving ( instead of Turkey). This one dressed out at 10.2 pounds!!
I have two trees that I cut down several years ago - a Chinaberry tree and a Crepe Myrtle. Sprouts coming up all over the yard, the chinaberry has shoots almost 20 feet away. I just try to keep them mowed down or in the case of my garden, cut down. Hopefully, eventually they will get the message too. That's sounds like a nightmare. It reminds me of the elm I cut down last year in our front lawn. It is actually sending up shoots all over the lawn from its roots. The tree was about 30 feet tall, so its roots spread quite far. I just keep pulling what I can and mowing the rest over. I'm hopeful the roots will die eventually if I prevent leaves from growing.
Even I know a virus is for life . Vet should know . Fought coryza for years . Recovered birds would get it again every winter and infect new birds . I now cull any sick bird and have not had any disease in years .Morning all. Cold out there! Not supposed to get much into the 30s today. Hoping that kills all the pollen & my allergies lighten up.
I have to take a ride & drop off a sample for a fecal float for the new girls. Man do I despise this avian vet - he told me the respiratory disease my first set of birds had wouldn't make them carriers for life when I specifically asked. My set of 4 older pullets disagree.Had I known I may have culled the original 4 & started over. Anyway, I called this am & asked if I could drop off a sample he said well I can't do anything without seeing them, it's been over a year. I said they're backyard chickens, I'm supposed to bring the whole flock in for an annual physical every year? WTH? I said I don't need you to treat them, you can tell me the level of coccidiosis or if it's worms, right? He hesitated & then said he would. Now I feel like I should just bring it to my dog vet instead. At least they're competent.
Ugh, sorry for that rant that has nothing to do with the garden!!
Have a great day all!
Right?! I can't believe an AVIAN vet didn't know that! I certainly know it now!Even I know a virus is for life . Vet should know . Fought coryza for years . Recovered birds would get it again every winter and infect new birds . I now cull any sick bird and have not had any disease in years .
and go watch the girls get blown across the lawn
