Ya, right?! When people make it with cottage cheese it's oddly watery and chunky. When you use fine homemade cheese, which is finer, it's amazing. Well I like it anyway. Warm, with a little maple syrup.

Snow tomorrow, so I think I'll do a vat of soup.
Maybe can some sweet potatoes.

my kid makes me make the Risgrot stuff now. Was asking me for it AGAIN this evening...sorry, hun, too hot right now but I’ll make it soon. She’s hooked.

I laughed when I saw Risegrot rice, specially labeled for sale for $6 for 6 ounces. It's nothing but short grained Risotto rice. Crazyness.

I've just used short grain rice that I use to make Japanese sticky rice. I buy the Rose rice from Costco, so definitely more economical than $6 for 6 ounces!

I'm waiting for it to get cold before making it. Its not really appealing in warm weather. But, yummy in cold weather!

Even the rose rice from Costco add two tbslp of butter to a skillet .. add the rice you want to cook let it cook about 6 minutes on high then add very hot water let it boil about 3 minutes to 3, turn it down rice in like 15 minutes

Well this morning on my way to the post office I came across a line of bagged leaves in front of some homes, quickly circled back around, and stuffed my car full of them. Lucked out as no plastic/garbage/or dog poop could be found, just all that free compost to layer in my garden beds!

OOOH! So jealous! I keep side-eyeing my neighbors who had a lot of bags of leaves last year, but so far nothing.
