Apparently wild parsnip is the same concept based on what I could find online. The sap contains a chemical that can cause a chemical burn when exposed to our skin and light. It can take several hours for the reaction to develop enough to cause serious burns. If you are working in the garden on a bright summer day for several hours is something to be cautious of.Giant hogs weed causes burns if you get the sap on your skin and it’s exposed to sun light. It can cause 3rd degree burns and it can cause blindness if it gets in your eyes. Not something to be messed around with. Wild parsnip can cause skin irritation but not as bad. Both look a lot like Queen Anne’s Lace.

YUP. That's a joy too. LOTS AND LOTS of that here.I had to look up hogweed . I have poison hemlock which is similar .
