But, in GA?! It’s the state tree or something, very beloved there -rotting peach trees aren’t allowed! When I lived in Atlanta for a year, way back when, there were like 50+streets /Ave/Blvd/roads named “Peachtree” in Atlanta alone. Before gps was there to help us transplants out. Try finding the “peachtree” street you want in Atlanta on a paper map...

there are still a zillion roads named peachtree, indeed.

our peach trees are old and hadn't been really taken care of and weren't getting enough sun. we took out a big tree that was sheltering them a couple years ago and I've been working on the brown rot issue since then - but I'm not super consistent with fungicide application because it's a lot to do by myself on fully grown trees.

It’s been pretty cold here in the south the past week or so. I’d give them another 2 weeks at least. I’ve had lettuce take a month or more to sprout at those temps and 3 weeks or more for peas and I had soaked the peas beforehand . What did you plant?

LOL, YES! I was going to try to keep it at $50, but now after going through the catalog, I can totally see myself getting suckered into spending $200! Somebody needs to pull me back from the cliff!

Some of those will definitely need more time to sprout while it’s been this cold. And there’s been problems with uploading images for the past few days. The mods are working on it it’s just been really hard to pin down.

Good afternoon all. I’ve had a headache all day but sound is what bothers me so when the kids came home hubs took me to Lowes I got the blocks to finish the planter at the end of the walkway and hubs got the hardware to lock the gate to the garden. That’s the extent of it today. Have a great night

fig cuttings? can you please explain how and when you do this?

I have been buying cuttings from online, I get the scions/ sticks/cuttings in the mail and I then attempt to root them.. I am underway now in the spare bedroom.. You might notice there is a heat tape (11") under the cups.. The goal is to get roots before encouraging top growth, top growth doesn't support the plant.. There are a slew of utubes on the subject if it perks your interest..
