What did you do in the garden today?

19 days until spring . Planted some tomato seeds indoors .

Alright, so I ordered my seed mats. I usually just direct sow everything but I'm going to get a head start & start my peppers indoors. & probably a few other things too, maybe some cukes. Although I already decided I wasn't doing cukes this year. I really need to do a garden map/plan.

I also ordered some purple green bean seeds. Phew!

I almost went and got a small greenhouse at harbor freight. ALMOST
It needs built on a base and cemented in, and screwed to it (I have the screws), which will add $100 to the cost.
Then I'd have to build shelves for the trays. more $$

I think I'll make due with the pop up this year.

My greenhouse decided to take a stroll through the garden overnight. Good thing it’s fenced in . I set it back up and put better weights on the bottom. I’m hoping once I start to fill it with pots, that shouldn't be an issue.

Can you tie it down with something heavier? Maybe 5 gallon buckets full of rock?
I know that’s what some people at our local farmers market do with their tents.

Even 5 gallon buckets full of water work, as long as you remember to refill when you water.
Our market guys use pvc tubes full of concrete with eye screws inserted in them, and then those hang from the tethers.
