What did you do in the garden today?

I’ve definitely considered getting a milk goat or seeing if we have a local dairy but the goat doesn’t work out since everything mom eats has to be pasteurized and it would be too much for me to use. I do know we have a local sheep farm that sells sheep’s milk but I remember it being expensive.
Did you look into dwarf milk goats like the Nigerian Dwarf? It would be much less milk production than a full sized dairy goat. It... should be possible to pasteurize at home as needed, but I haven't looked into it frankly.

Cant remember who has the runoff in their yard?

We get RUNOFF through the entire length of our yard. Between our yard and neighbor. Storm drain under the road.

Today we have ducks enjoying the flowing water. Its the first time I've seen ducks there.

There is a big drain just out of the picture - owned by the farmer. However, farmer plowed over the ENTIRE waterway through the field to plant his stuff. So, water doesn't flow as well as it should. generally not a good idea: Bye Bye topsoil.
Wow, that’s a lot of water!

Even worse... jacks. Can you say, caltrop?

My mom had a rule if we played with jacks. We counted how many there were when we took them out. We had to count them as we put them back. And we had to put every single one back.
Yup, us too. I’ve stepped on my fair share of those bad boys.

I'm so sorry you have to leave your hard work behind. I have had to do that a couple of times too. It's hard but I figured my improvements made sale price better and I gave next person something amazing to work with. Next time you will know what works faster. Flagstaff us lively as is a few places in AZ . New Mexico has some nice places too. We moved to western NE. It's a little humid some snow great people, summers some 100s at peak and winters this year was worst at 23 below. But prices are great my friend just bought 10 acres in Northern KS for 200K. With decent house, barn, and some out buildings. Just to give you an idea. The restaurant choices are slim tho.
Restaurant? What is this rest-aurant thing you speak of? LOL.

Prices here have become idiotic. My property assessment just jumped $60,000 in ONE year! And I haven't DONE anything, just the covid panic buying driving up market prices. Insane. Another $2200 in taxes a year!
