What did you do in the garden today?

The pumpkin is cooked and puréed. I used freezer safe jars since they made it easier to measure what I was adding. The pumpkin has a mild but sweet taste. It’s about as I was expecting. It will be fine in quick breads like muffins, pancakes and dog treats. I’m not going to waste my baking supplies testing it in a pie. It would be too mild to stand alone like that.
I am waiting for it to cool off a little bit before I return outside. I hate sweating after I’m showered. I will test the big pumpkin then.

Got another one of my mystery peppers. I put one of my (known) cayenne peppers next to it. The mystery pepper is half the size.

Years ago while riding my motorcycle, dressed up in pressed long sleeve shirt @ 70 mph with sleeves all puffed up with the wind. Had a yellow jacket go up a sleeve. Stung quite a few places from the wrist to the neck. Almost had a wreck while tryin to stop. Thankfully it was blown out thru the collar.
I was stung four times in one month on the Harley. Elbow while eating a Pop Tart, forehead when one got stuck in my ponytail, and (the worst!) the chin and forehead when one got into my full face shield helmet at a stoplight across the road from the state line where I was going to remove the helmet.
Another time we were riding with a group at night. A bat hit the guy ahead of us in the chest, my husband in the face and me in the shoulder.
