They filled in pretty well. I planted the first ones 3 years ago, and planted more last fall. Some have replanted themselves! The topsets get heavy, the stalk falls over, and they root where they land.

This bunch is one that I planted 3 years ago. I dug half of it up last summer (2020) and it refilled in. This is all from one of those little onions in the topset.

The brown stalks had topsets on them. The greens are all usable as green onions.

These are a few of the onion bulbs. Not very big, but there are a lot in one bunch. Lots of green onions, that's for sure. I save the neck in my "onion/garlic scrap bag" in the freezer for making bone broth.
