@igorsMistress it is amazing what you have done there - it looks fantastic!
I feel like I need Egyptian walking onions! Everyone else has them but me. That's why I ended up with strawberries.
I'm such a follower.
I have a pile of leaf litter to bag up today. The leaves are really hanging on though, I've never seen fall happen so late. I need to scoop a little poop from the big coop - I have 1 hen that has always had horribly watery poop so I have to scoop it once a week. Till she moved in I never bothered, just stirred it up & threw in some more shavings but it's too wet in there now. She's made a lot more work for me.
Got the Christmas jam packaged up for DHs family this am. We are mailing it all out next week, super early but last year we mailed in early Dec & some didn't get it till Jan. I'd rather have it arrive early than late & the post office is such a mess who knows.
My indoor lettuce is coming up. My outdoor lettuce could use some water today as we haven't had rain in 12 days.
That's all I got! Have a good day everyone.
Holy cow, that is redic! I would love to snag those - such a waste.UGH. See what I mean???
Wasteful. https://lincoln.craigslist.org/grd/d/lincoln-straw-bales/7404310368.html
I'm jealous! My bed is still green despite the freezing temps we've had this past week. & it's supposed to warm up this coming week so I have to wait.I pulled the two straw bales apart and mulched the strawberry bed, the garlic, and the multiplier onions. There was half a bale left, so that went into the chicken run.
We're waiting for the leaves to finish falling, but since they're oak, it'll be a while. I hope to rake up some for the garden. I put some in the chicken run, and they have enjoyed scratching through them. That's the last thing I have planned for in the garden. Anything else will be weather and whim dependent.
