What did you do in the garden today?

How do you strip your fabric? I cut up sheets to crochet into rugs, but the mess! Tiny bits of thread just everywhere. I couldnt work with it anymore and had to put it away I would love to finish it.

I've been trying to save old t-shirts to make a t-shirt rug but never seem to have enough time!

Good afternoon all. It’s warmed up to a balmy 20F. Really cold here still. Friday morning was -3F to start with. It only “warmed” up to about 15 or 16F. Max seemed to enjoy his outing the other day. We even went through the car wash and he was very well behaved. The sad part was when we got home. I think he expected I was taking him back to his other family. Yesterday he got a treat when DD spent the day dog and chicken sitting for me while I was in Boston. On our trip to HD I checked out the seeds they have. There were no San Manzano seeds, but lots of Romas. I only picked up 2 packs of curly blue kale. Other than the San Manzano seeds and seed potatoes I’m not sure what else I need until I have the time to go through the leftover seeds. I still have not planted the leek seeds yet. I really need to do that soon. I’m really hoping we get out of this deep freeze rut we’ve been in lately. The chickens really miss green grass.

Hey all. Not much happening here - too cold. I do have a bobcat stalking the chickens though. It actually jumped up on the fence & jumped right back down. I don't think it'll have an easy time getting thru the bird netting, seems it gave up pretty quick from the prints in the snow. I hope it's moved on.

The yard has been so active, the prints in the snow are insane & the hawks are out there all the time. Everyone must be hungry. Come on spring!

I was outside with Max a few days ago and a very large red tailed hawk swooped down to check him out. I’ve heard coyotes in the woods early in the morning also. I worry about the local gang of wild turkeys. All the predators are hungry.

Dry for like a week but to cold to do much take that week dry things out.
Kinda waiting on the Pugsly pup he had the gonads removed yesterday.. still in the cone of shame.

Beautiful! Interesting how the Wyandotte (is it a wyandotte?) has lacing that “disappears” at her chest area.
