Hubby and I went away for a weekend retreat. Nice to get away but I'm trying to catch up on posts.
Carrots - I've had mixed success. I tried Danvers and Parisian carrots (short, fat little carrot balls). They either didn't grow at all or pretty much were so tiny to be useless. Last year I tried Purple Cosmic carrots instead. I was careful to sow them thinly. These turned out a little better. They were, on average, 4" - 5" long. Not huge but enough to actually eat. The flavor was very good. Best "fresh" carrot I've ever eaten. I planted them late last year so I'm hoping to see what I get from a full season this year.
