What did you do in the garden today?

that's one kind of pepper I haven't gotten seeds for. But then I use pickled pepperoncinis so seldom. Mostly just in that shredded beef roast recipe.
We pickle them and use them in an awesome instant pot roast recipe. DH also puts them in sandwiches too.

I ought to just send you my extra seeds... 😊 I am only planting two plants because we have peppers coming out her ears.

Disc bedder assembled and mounted. It's time to rock and roll. Well...rock, anyway. Rolling would be bad.

All done. It turns out that when you till deeply and thoroughly and the dirt is really soft it's hard to drive a straight line while dragging an implement through it. Oh well. Close enough. Now we just need to get next weekend's forecast for freezes behind us.

We've been locked in fog all day.
Didn't make it to the seeding shed today, too cold and damp out there to be comfortable.
DH had scouts today out of town, so I was stuck with chores after a not sleeping last night after a panic attack in the middle of the night.
So I worked on the loom, and figured out how many tomatoes I want to start for the garden.

25 in the garden and I think 8 in the hoophouse
succession of lettuce and peas in the hoop
3 more blackberries
at least 2 more horseradish
concord grape went in yesterday, the stick I got felt kind of crispy, I don't know about that one.

I'll start tomatoes this week.
I still need to sort seeds.

Sales will only be good if the big boxes under order this year. I had too much left over last year.

OH and I found those black slicing tomatoes at the market. I'll save those seeds and see how they do, if they grow true or not. I won't sell those though.

I had plans for raking up the leaves in the front yard, but just got enough raked up to give the chickens a new toy. It takes them about 3 minutes to flatten a pile. I want to take them more, but it's gonna have to wait. We're getting 35 mph winds tomorrow, with gusts of 50-60. Not very conducive to to raking up leaves. :gig

Good afternoon all. It’s windy out today so nothing going on for me. I did look at the chaste trees and I think another has leaf buds on it. If two make it then even better, I’m putting them in front of the sliding door in pots, then having hubs build a box around them to use up lattice and shade the pots. This should provide some shade to the slider in summer, but won’t be anything permanent if they need to be moved for one reason or another. I ordered a dwarf banana plant that’s supposed to be good in full sun in my climate. In a pot. We’ll see about that. I think that’ll go on the east patio so it gets afternoon shade. From what I’ve read it’s easy to propagate by division, and if I put them on dollies they’ll be easier to move in winter.
