What did you do in the garden today?

I went out and checked on my tomatoes this morning. I don't think the San Marzanos are going to make it. They are pitifully small and something was clearly munching on them. There were a bunch of these tiny black flying beetles that got into the hoop house before I had it fully closed down. Wondering if maybe they were the culprits? Anyway, think its too late in the spring to start new SM seeds?

It's about perfect timing here, tomatoes don't go out until the middle/end of May. I'm not sure about your climate, does it get too hot for tomatoes (is that even possible, lol)?

nope, it is NOT too late

Still waiting for starts to start in the green house. It's unheated, so it depends on the sun to warm it up. Sunshine has been in very short supply this year! About 30% less than usual. Tomorrow through Friday we should get "some" sun, so :fl hoping that's enough to warm up the pots and get things growing.

I made a frittata today with home grown potatoes, greens, onions, garlic, and jalapenos. And eggs, of course. The whole reason to make a frittata is to use up some eggs and turn them into a tasty dish. 14 down, 8 on the counter, plus whatever they lay today.

Sucker.
