What did you do in the garden today?

Welp got first round of tie-up for tomatoes done ✔️
Checked on the early squash and a HUGE critter was literally sucking it dry! It was big as my thumb but soft on flower end and fell off with the critter! He dead!
Gotta get them up off ground and trellises asap!
1 blueberry bush isn't looking so good...utility work has dug up alongside it like 3 times since we got it last year so I guess it's injured the roots. Turning yellow and berries and drying up n tiny.
Should we leave it til next year n see if it pulls through?

Trying to round up some baby chicks to put them back in the brooder for the night when one of them ran under the goat house and would NOT come out. We tried for over an hour with no luck... I was laying on the ground on a sheet of plywood with a flashlight and a pole trying to find the little booger in all the leaves, straw, and cobwebs when suddenly cold something jumped on my head! I screamed and about had a heart attack... I jumped up faster than I thought I was capable of.... Looked down with the flashlight.... It was a (bleeping) toad!!!

Fruit tree Q: We planted a peach tree a few weeks ago. Peach trees don’t like to be in very wet areas is what I’ve read. With the 3.5 days of rain, the dirt around the base is quite wet. It is an area that gets pretty wet when it rains and stays wet longer than some other areas, but not standing water.

Should we build a raised bed for it, so that it is planted higher than it is now? This would require digging it up again -trying to be careful of the roots.

Should we wait and see? But then we lose a year of possible growth.
