What did you do in the garden today?

Off topic - anyone had a blood draw from the top of a hand? They took mine 12 days ago from my bad hand. I told her it was my bad hand and she used it anyway. No bruise. But dang it STILL hurts, like she hit a nerve in there, but more sharp like a bee sting or a bit of metal splinter.
Anyone?
They often use my hand and no problems . I am difficult to get . Stuck me 5 times one day . Twice for lab and 3 times trying to get a IV in . One miss on my arm got a really big bruise . Third time they use a vein finder and got it on my hand .

Can someone tell me what this is? When it was a seedling it was labeled as habenero pepper but I don’t think that’s what it is. At least it’s not like any I’ve ever planted before.

Onions were decimated by the tree rats. Most still have green leaves but are bent/broken at the neck so the leaves are laying down. Will they continue to grow like that?

My sad little eggplants look like they are starting to wake up and actually grow a little.

Long time ago. I mentioned the lasting pain I get from ALL blood draws no matter the location to a proper phlebotomist and she nodded and said that some people do have nerves running in the typical, choice spots and for them it DOES hurt more.

Happy for the validation, sad that it's a part of my life. The intense pain contributes to a panic attack and fainting spell almost every time. Additionally I hurt for a week or more after. The worst is the dental fillings. Two weeks after the numbing shot it will still ache deep in the bone.

In short, yes, she hit your nerve.

At least when I need my blood drawn they're super happy to see my pasty pale skin (Can you say Scottish/Irish/Swedish?). My veins stand out blue and are super easy to get. Never had anybody miss on the first try, and I pray it never happens. I might walk my happy butt halfway out the office and hit the tile in the reception area with my face. I promise you I wouldn't let the same tech try a second time.

Watered everything, aka did the rain dance this evening. Might get another gully washer tonight and goodness knows we need it!
