Phew, well, i got the killables moved into the garage.
Learned something today.
Chickens do not like roll up bugs??? You are absolutely KIDDING ME right??? just simply...wow.
My Dwarf Cavendish has a banana stalk forming, FINALLY after all these years I got it to give me nanners at a reasonable time. Literally I have had this pos plant probably going on a dozen years or more and this is second time i ever got nanners off it, it kept freezing down, Id covered it and it SURVIVED and didn't freeze, but then the sob would sit there and then rot.. and there you go, you start ALL over again.
my ice cream banana has 2 years on it now and im hoping it poops a nanner stalk too, it's due.
One thing that is concerning me is, on my banana AND my papaya I am seeing it looks like dirt on the leaves, or like mold. It's dry now and I can literally wipe it off with my thumb and nail but the leaves are covered. Newer ones not so much but wondering what THAT is? A fungus? tomorrow I might hose them down real well and see if it washes off any and what goes. Sapote, no wonder that little bugger did so well, it busted the bottom of it's pot out and had roots all over, so had to chop some root structure to get it up and out. Not enough to kill it im pretty sure, but still, that's never a good thing. Hopefully next year THAT gives me something. The pineapple is just, its alive and grows but never really is green, it's always a yellowish tint to it, but well, grows like it's healthy, go figure. next year im gonna give it until about may or june then if it has not by itself, im going to apple core it to get a fruit, 3 years is enough, you better put out or get mulched already.
im tired now, time for a hot bath and maybe a nap or bed.
